The EA SPORTS Academy is a unique, full‑time program based in Orlando, Florida, designed to accelerate your growth as a Software Engineer.
In Year 1:
- Three‑week immersive onboarding experience (first two weeks in Vancouver for a round‑trip travel expense from Orlando to Vancouver covered, third week back at your local studio – Orlando or Vancouver).
- Transition into a permanent full‑time Software Engineer on an EA SPORTS development team, working with a cohort of SE Academy learning sessions covering Systems, Gameplay, Animation, UI, Rendering, and more.
Your Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly learning modules throughout your first year as part of your EA SPORTS Academy cohort.
- Embedded in an EA SPORTS Development Team: collaborate with designers, content creators, and software engineers to deliver features for a cross‑platform game.
- Write clear and estimable technical design specifications.
- Use C++ to ship tested and high‑quality technical implementations that meet design requirements.
- Follow best practices to maximize game performance across multiple devices and platforms.
Your
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited post‑secondary institution between December 2024 and May 2026 (inclusive).
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Proficiency in C++ programming.
- Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices.
- Strong collaboration in a team environment.
- Experience solving challenging engineering problems with creative technical solutions.
- Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge, principles, and solutions.
- 1+ years of experience with another programming language(s) (C# or Java) and/or platforms (mobile, game consoles) is a major plus.
