This position could be eligible for a hybrid work model with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Design and develop complex People Soft HR programs, reports, interfaces, and processes to meet business and user requirements.
- Configure and maintain Time and Labor rules to ensure legal compliance and accurate pay calculations.
- Translate user needs into effective technical solutions, including custom applications and enhancements.
- Code, test, and implement solutions using tools such as Application Designer, BI Publisher, SQR, PS Query, and Oracle database technologies.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all programs, systems, and procedures.
- Modify and support existing applications as needed to meet evolving business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Collaborate with HR functional users to support and enhance People Soft functionality.
- Analyze business requirements and participate in the selection, implementation, and rollout of new delivered and custom features.
- Participate in rotating on‑call support.
- Minimum of 5 years of People Soft experience, including at least 3 years hands‑on with version 9.2.
- Expertise in at least two of the following modules:
Payroll, HR, or Time and Labor. - Strong experience with Integration Broker, People Code, AP and Application Engine.
- Proven ability in developing reports, interfaces, and Application Designer processes using SQR.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of successful collaboration with functional users and IT teams.
- Solid understanding of People Soft applications and web development environments.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate IT requirements to non‑IT business users.
- Will consider work experience in lieu of education (3 years of work = 1 year of college).
- We would prefer to see candidates who have experience working with both Payroll and HR Modules, and developing and maintaining Time and Labor Rules.
- Knowledge of People Soft Time & Labor.
- Experience with People Soft Fluid UI, including Fluid Pages, Fluid Work Centers, and Fluid Approvals for mobile‑friendly, responsive design.
- Familiarity with Page and Field Configurator, Event Mapping and Drop Zones.
- Experience with COBOL in People Soft environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL is a plus.
