Web Designer

Duration: 6 Months (With Possible Extension)

Position General

Summary:

• This Intermediate-level role is responsible for the design, development, and creation of high-quality websites, standalone interactives, and learning assets across moderately to complex projects.
• The developer will utilize strong skills in HTML
  5.
• This position demands a commitment to development standards and code maintainability, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to efficiently provide troubleshooting and resolution for 3rd tier support issues.
• Success requires active collaboration with Graphic Designers, Product Managers, and Engineering Staff to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the end-user experience.

The most crucial technical skills and technologies required:

• Solid understanding and utilization of JSON files
• Utilization of a standard IDE such as Web Storm, Komodo, Coda, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Sublime Text or other

Essential Position Functions:

• Intermediate professional level role. Works on moderately complex, to complex projects that require a solid understanding of Web design and layout.
• Must have a strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, JSON, and GIT repository utilization.
• Adhere to development standards, ensuring maintainability of code.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience with Git Version Control Systems
• Preferred experience with JSON and DOM
• Preferred experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) and/or editors such as Web Storm, Komodo, Coda, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Sublime Text or others
• Preferred experience with AJAX, XML
• Preferred experience React, Angular, Vue
