Full Benefits + 401(k) MatchPOSITION OVERVIEW Our client, a rapidly growing global cybersecurity company, is seeking a Software Developer – Security Code Review to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen application security.
This role focuses primarily on manual and automated security code reviews rather than traditional software development. You'll work closely with developers, security teams, and Dev Sec Ops professionals to identify risks and improve secure coding practices.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Perform detailed security code reviews across multiple applications and programming languages.
• Identify vulnerabilities, including injection flaws, XSS, insecure deserialization, authentication weaknesses, and insecure APIs.
• Recommend remediation strategies and help developers implement secure coding practices.
• Ensure alignment with OWASP Top 10, CWE, and NIST security frameworks.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and Dev Sec Ops teams.
• Use static analysis and security tools such as Sonar Qube, Fortify, Checkmarx, or Veracode.
• Support improvements to application security and the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of application security, secure code review, or software security experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and SSDLC.
• Experience reviewing code in C/C++, C#, Swift, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Familiarity with Sonar Qube, Fortify, Checkmarx, Veracode, or similar security tools.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CWE/SANS Top 25, and CVSS scoring.
• Security certifications such as OSCP, CSSLP, CEH, or GWAPT preferred.
• Threat modeling, penetration testing, red team, or blue team experience preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS• $100,000–$125,000 base salary, negotiable based on experience.
