Transportation Bus Maintenance – Area Mech Fleet B Mechanic

As a seasoned mechanic, you will work in a state‑of‑the‑art shop, applying your skills in a unique Disney environment.

Pay rate in Florida: $29.59 per hour (Area B Mechanic)

• Perform annual DOT inspections on the fleet of buses
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on transit vehicles
• Answer non‑routine service calls
• Perform daily fleet inspections, fueling, and minor repairs at the satellite maintenance facility
• Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies as required
• Use additional personal protective equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) as required

• Valid Florida CDL Class A or B driver's license with passenger endorsement, or ability to obtain Permit by hire date
• Ability to obtain and maintain Medium/Heavy Truck T4 or Transit Bus H4 heavy‑duty brake ASE certification within 90 days of hire; maintain ASE credentials thereafter
• Possess EPA MVAC 609 Air Conditioning certification
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience performing maintenance and repairs on over‑the‑road coaches or semi‑heavy duty trucks
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as Diesel Tech/Mechanic
• Ability to interpret schematics
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices

• Over 4 years’ experience in diesel engine transit maintenance repair
• Experience with Cummins Insite diagnostic
• Knowledge of Therma King Intellig Aire climate control systems
• Experience with marquee destination sign repair
• Multiplex Electronic Equipment experience
• Familiarity with transit GPS tracking
• Understanding of wheelchair lift/ramp
