Light Duty Tow Truck Driver

$1,500 State, $2,500 Out-of-state.

The Light Duty Tow Truck Driver will be operating a commercial towing and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of less than 25,999 lbs. and must possess a valid driver’s license for the vehicle and towed combination.

• Drive commercial towing and recovery vehicles.
• Perform interstate driving for towing, recovery, and/or transport.
• Communicate and work closely with Dispatch.
• Complete daily vehicle inspection sheets, identifying mechanical issues.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and DOT rules and regulations.
• Report mechanical issues with trucks and trailers promptly.
• Use software such as Samsara, GPS, and Tow Book.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Relevant trade school – towing, recovery or transport accreditation.
• At least two (2) years of relative commercial driving experience.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools.

• Basic technology skills – use of GPS, company software, mobile device.
• Time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting work, hours, and information.

Required lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending, reaching, climbing. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme cold and heat. Lifting over 50lbs is a job requirement. Lifting restrictions are not permitted.
