What you’ll do
- Serve as Second in Command
, assisting the Captain to ensure safe, efficient flight operations across all phases. - Collaborate on flight planning using weather, NOTAMs, airport data, performance, and other operational resources.
- Conduct thorough preflight inspections; help determine aircraft airworthiness and readiness.
- Support fuel planning, weight and balance, load manifests, and all required documentation.
- Operate the aircraft under the Captain’s direction in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies, manuals, and SOPs.
- Continuously communicate operational factors (weather, turbulence, routing) impacting the flight, crew, or passengers.
- Assist with passenger, baggage, and cargo handling at terminals and FBOs; represent Fly Alliance with a professional, hospitable demeanor.
- Accurately complete flight logs and operational records in a timely manner.
- Maintain qualifications, currency, medical, and required training; actively support effective CRM.
- Coordinate professionally with Flight Operations, Maintenance Control, Crew Scheduling, and other teams; contribute to the Safety Management System and safety culture.
- Certificates & Medical: FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating and a current First Class Medical.
- Experience: Meets Fly Alliance and FAA minimum flight-hour and qualification requirements; prior Part 135 charter experience preferred.
- Gulfstream: Gulfstream experience and applicable type rating preferred.
- Regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of FAA regulations and professional flight operations.
- CRM & communication: Effective Crew Resource Management, clear communication, sound judgment, and composure in dynamic or emergency situations.
- Education & work status: High school diploma or GED; authorized to work in the United States;
East Coast residence required. - Physical requirements: Meets applicable FAA medical/physical standards; able to work on ramps, hangars, and flight lines and handle baggage/equipment up to 75 lbs.
- Professionalism: Commitment to safety, teamwork, and exceptional passenger service; maintains a polished, service-forward appearance.
- Flexibility: Willing to travel extensively, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
