The Warehouse Specialist will assist with packing/shipping, receiving/processing incoming stock and materials, unloading and loading trucks, organizing, locating stock, and maintaining a clean work environment. The Specialist will also handle data entry and inventory management to ensure the warehouse runs smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse
- Receive and unload equipment and parts; unpack and shelve
- Pack, wrap, label, and/or ship parts and equipment
- Pick up parts/equipment from local suppliers
- Load and unload trucks
- Maintain workflow processes
- Operate forklifts, delivery trucks, and lifting equipment safely
- Assist with refurbishing ice machines as needed
- Contribute to team effort by performing additional duties as assigned
- Six months of previous warehouse experience (preferred)
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States (required)
- Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and multi‑line phone systems
- Self‑motivated and disciplined, able to work independently and as a team member
- Desire to learn more about warehouse operations and basic operating/maintenance of ice machines
- Clear and professional communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
- Good planning and time‑management skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks
- Employee often required to stand, walk, sit, use ladders, use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel surfaces, parts, and materials; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Stands for extended periods of time Lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally heavier
- Ability to work in conditions that may include extreme temperatures
