We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of tasks, including deliveries, pickups, inventory management, and operating a forklift to ensure the smooth flow of materials in and out of the warehouse. If you have experience driving a forklift, strong attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivery and Pickup of Materials:
Coordinate and assist in the delivery and collection of materials, ensuring timely and accurate handling. - Organize Material Returns:
Manage the return process of materials, ensuring items are properly accounted for and returned to suppliers when necessary. - Verify Merchandise:
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials to confirm they match order details and are free from defects or discrepancies. - Dispatch Materials:
Oversee the packing and dispatching of materials for delivery, ensuring that orders are accurately fulfilled. - Validate Material Lists for Dispatch:
Review and verify material lists for each shipment to ensure all required items are included. - Classify Merchandise in the Warehouse:
Organize and classify materials within the warehouse to maintain an orderly and efficient storage system. - Weekly Reporting and Inventory Count:
Conduct inventory counts at least once per week and prepare accurate reports on stock levels and any discrepancies. - Operate a Forklift:
Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. - Maintain Order and Cleanliness:
Ensure the proper organization of materials and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience driving a forklift (certification preferred)
- Prior experience in warehouse operations is a plus
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [insert weight])
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and inventory
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting
