Full time position as Warehouse assistant open for immediate hire
Purpose:Warehouse assistant needed for coordinating and expediting flow of material, parts, assemblies and finished product in accordance with production, shipping schedules and supervisors' priorities.
Job Description- Receive products and supports work processes by receiving, inspecting, preparing, sorting, identifying, weighing, allocating, and loading materials; placing orders in receiving area. Route and assign material to storage locations.
- Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and any damages.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Returns items to inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items.
- Monitor and control movement of materials, parts and finished products.
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
- Maintain electronic files, records, and packing lists.
- Maintains quality inspection by following organization standards.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by removing scrap; sweeping and mopping area; erecting barriers; disposing of hazardous materials; following safety rules, procedures and regulations; wearing personal protective equipment when necessary, keeping shelves, and work area clean.
- Operate forklift and any other equipment as needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Possess good communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, environment
- Ability to multi-task and display good time management
- Ability to operate computer, knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs
- Experience in the Aviation/Defense a plus
- Knowledge of computerized inventory system a plus (Pentagon, Quantum)
- Experience operating forklift
