Clinic Waiting Room Greeter (Ormond Beach)

The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation (FCS) is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization that assists cancer patients across Florida. The Foundation’s mission is to provide essential non‑medical living expenses for adults battling cancer, with 100 % of donations going directly to patients.

As a Clinic Waiting Room Greeter, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere in the clinic, and providing necessary assistance and information.

• Greet patients and guests with a smile and friendly voice.
• Offer water and coffee while patients and guests are waiting.
• Keep the waiting room neat and tidy.
• Engage patients and guests in light, easy conversation.
• Assist with wheelchair retrieval as needed.

Shifts are typically Monday – Friday, between 9 am – 3 pm. A minimum commitment of 3 hours per week for at least 6 months is required.

• Submit a volunteer application.
• Complete a phone interview.
• Undergo a criminal history check and drug/ nicotine screening. (FCS is a nicotine‑ and medical‑marijuana‑free workplace.)
• Complete a health screening:
  Tuberculosis (TB) testing; proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
• Receive an influenza vaccine annually (August 1 through March 31).

Eligible volunteers will join the FCS Volunteer Team and help make a difference for patients seeking care.
