Primary purpose of this position:
Responsible for the dispensing of chemicals and compounding of bulk product according to department SOPs and batch record requirements. Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while producing a quality product.

• Basic weighing or measuring of materials, or products.
• Understand the continuous improvement process.
• Must be able to train and cross train less experienced compounders and cleaning technicians.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely on the batch record.
• Observe equipment operations so that abnormalities can be detected, and elevate abnormalities timely and appropriately.
• Operation of simple equipment.
• Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis and testing.
• Cleaning of compounding equipment (tanks/pumps/utensils).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Clean and lubricate mechanical parts of machines and other small parts, to include transfer lines, mixing tanks, and other equipment as needed.
• Cleaning of portable equipment such as pumps, fillers, storage containers, stationary storage tanks and return cleaned parts to designated storage areas.
• Management of wastewater and proper disposal.
• Completion of the lockout-tagout program.
• Ability to read and determine batch requirements.
• Follow all EPC Safety/Environmental, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution.
• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Light mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Must be qualified to wear a respirator.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and be detail-oriented.
• Ability and willingness to work closely with others and departments.
• Ability to document and communicate properly.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
