Management Accountant Practice

Practice Accountant, Ormskirk, up to £45k plus bonus opp

Office based with flexible working hours, would consider full time or part time. Option for hybrid working once successfully, passed probationary.

Our client is an independent and friendly accountancy practice based in Ormskirk, providing accounting and tax services to a wide range of local businesses and individuals. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Practice Accountant to join our team.

The Role

- The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients and be involved in all aspects of accounts preparation, taxation, and client support.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

- Completion of VAT returns and bookkeeping where required

- Preparation of personal and corporation tax returns

- Managing client relationships and responding to queries

- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, Quick Books, and Sage

- Assisting with management accounts and general practice work

-Ensuring work is completed accurately and on time Liaising with HMRC where necessary

About You

- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential

-ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, qualified by experience, or currently studying

- Accountancy qualifications are not essential for the right candidate

- Good working knowledge of accounts, VAT, and taxation

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Friendly and professional manner with clients and colleagues

- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

- Experience with cloud accounting software preferred

- Right to work in the UK and be able to start in the location asap.
