Senior Payroll Administrator

Salary: £30,000 £ 32,000
Location: Burscough, Ormskirk
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Pattern: Office-based initially, with 1 day WFH after probation
Payroll: Approx. 500 employees across multiple payrolls

An opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join an established payroll team, supporting the end-to-end delivery of multiple UK payrolls.

You ll primarily support four monthly payrolls
, while also providing cover across three weekly payrolls, working within a small and experienced payroll team.

• Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 500 employees across multiple companies

• Manage starters, leavers and contractual changes.
• Process overtime, timesheets, allowances, deductions and statutory payments.
• Administer pensions, auto-enrolment and salary sacrifice schemes.
• Complete payroll validation, reconciliations and National Minimum Wage checks.
• Manage RTI submissions, P45s and payroll records.
• Prepare payroll journals and general ledger reconciliations.
• Handle employee payroll queries and work closely with HR.
• Provide cover for weekly payroll processing when required.

• Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience
  .
• Experience managing multiple payrolls or multi-site payrolls highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory payments.
• Strong pensions and auto-enrolment knowledge.
• Confident with payroll reconciliations and controls.
• Good Excel and payroll systems skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Construction, engineering or another fast-paced operational background would be advantageous.
