, West Lancashire Borough Council Hours Per Week: 36.00 Pay: £13.63 per hour This is office working 5 days per week in one of our Customer Service points either Skelmersdale in the Concourse or Derby Street Ormskirk.

• Contact Centre opening hours: 8:30am–5:30pm with two shift patterns: 8:30am–4:30pm and 9:30am–5:30pm.
• New recruits typically work 9:00am–5:00pm shift for a while.

• Provide an efficient and streamlined service to customers of West Lancashire Borough Council and be the first point of contact for all service enquiries.
• Serve customers via telephony from the Contact Centre in Ormskirk and face-to-face from the Customer Service Points in Skelmersdale and Ormskirk.
• Respond to face-to-face, telephone and electronically delivered queries, establishing which service is required and ensuring that customer issues are resolved.
• Maintain a visible presence in the Council’s Customer Service Points (CSPs), acting as "Greeters" to visitors and customers.
• Liaise and consult with management members and staff within teams to ensure service related queries/issues are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.
