Specialty Doctor – Dermatology

This post is for a Specialty Doctor in Dermatology. It is a whole‑time position offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated medic to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

Applicants must be eligible for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment.

Main duties of the job
  • 8.5 DCC (Dermatology Clinical Care)
  • 1.5 SPA (Specialist Practitioner Activities)
  • Participation each week in the Dermatology Grand Round, Audit, Journal Club and Histopathology meetings attended by all consultants and dermatology colleagues in the region.
  • No on‑call commitment.
  • Each week except the first week of the month when a departmental meeting is held, one session is based at Broadgreen Hospital and includes participation in the Dermatology Grand Round, Audit, Journal Club and Histopathology meetings.

Specialist Regional Services – We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
