PK Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Secondary Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Rotherham.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people aged 11-16 and are looking for flexible work within education.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning, wellbeing, and development across a range of subjects and year groups.

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
• Assist students with additional learning needs, including SEN and SEMH where required
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by teaching staff
• Promote inclusion and ensure all students can access the curriculum
• Support students during exams, practical activities, and interventions
• Supervise pupils during break times where required
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience desirable)
• A genuine passion for working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments
• Good behaviour management skills
• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Two professional references
