We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join a dedicated support team for a young neurodiverse man in the Skelmersdale area. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a small, person-centred team while making a genuine difference to someone's life.
He currently lives with his family and is preparing for an exciting transition into his own home in the West Lancashire area. As Team Leader , you will play a key role in supporting him through this important stage of his life, ensuring consistency, stability and high-quality support as he develops greater independence.
You will lead by example, working alongside your team to provide outstanding, person-centred support that is guided entirely by his individual needs, goals and aspirations.

About the RoleWe are looking for a friendly, confident and motivated Team Leader to support a young autistic man who benefits from patient, consistent and structured support. He experiences anxiety and values support from people who are calm, trustworthy and able to build genuine, positive relationships.
He has a wide range of interests including volunteering at and visiting steam railways, spending time with animals - particularly dogs - going to the cinema, countryside walks and preparing meals. He is looking for someone who will actively encourage him to enjoy these activities while supporting him to develop confidence, independence and life skills.
As Team Leader , you will work directly alongside him while also leading and developing a dedicated support team . You'll promote high standards of care, ensure support is delivered consistently, and work closely with his family and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
The successful candidate will be compassionate, resilient, organised and an excellent communicator. You will be passionate about person-centred support, confident in leading others, and committed to creating an environment where both the individual and the staff team can thrive.
Leader ship & Supervision- Provide day-to-day leader ship, supervision and support to the support team , ensuring consistently high standards of care.
- Lead by example, promoting professional boundaries, safeguarding principles and best practice.
- Complete staff supervisions, appraisals and performance reviews in line with company policies.
- Organise and oversee staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
- Mentor and support new and existing team members, promoting confidence, accountability and continuous learning.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Work directly with the individual, providing practical, emotional and social support in line with his person-centred support plan.
- Support him with daily living skills including meal planning, cooking, attending appointments and maintaining routines.
- Accompany him in the community, including volunteering at steam railways, countryside walks, cinema visits and other activities that are meaningful to him.
- Encourage independence, confidence and the development of life skills.
- Ensure support plans, risk assessments and agreed strategies are followed consistently by the team .
- Act as a key point of contact for family members, professionals and external agencies where appropriate.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily notes, incident reports, medication records and care documentation.
