If you are then we have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic apprentice to join int Income and Financial Inclusion team at West Lancashire Borough Council.
We are looking for and individual who is customer focused and looking to learn and develop their knowledge and skills for a rewarding career in social housing.
You will have an opportunity to be based and specialise in work in our Income and Financial Inclusion team andwill work alongside experienced staff in the income team and money advice team. You will play an important role working with new and existing customers who rent a home or who are looking for a tenancy with us.
This will include dealing with customer enquiries, providing information, making payment agreements and payment plans and recover rent and housing debts owed to the Council.
The apprenticeship will last for 24 months in which time you will commit to undertaking a Level 3 Housing Practice Apprenticeship.
It is desirable to have a minimum of Maths and English GCSE Grade 4 – 9 / A – C or equivalent. Alternatively, you will be required to pass level 2 functional skills as part of the program. You will have experience of using MS Office applications.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and learn, offering real hands-on work experience, whilst accessing a professionally recognised housing qualification
The learning will be remote, and you will be given time off to study. For the right person there is potential for a permanent role within the team at the end of the apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship will provide you with a reputable qualification recognised by the Council and other Social Housing providers.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo security checks as part of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard for accessing Government records. This will include a Basic DBS check.
