About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Microsoft 365 (SharePoint) Developer to join the Digital Department within Digital, Data and Technology.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining and supporting SharePoint-based intranet sites and Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Creating and enhancing tools that improve internal processes, productivity and user experience.
  • Working with stakeholders to gather requirements, test solutions and continuously improve services.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile university intranet and gain valuable experience across a wide range of Microsoft 365 technologies in a large, complex organisation. You will be part of a supportive Web Services team, with the chance to see your work used by staff every day and to build skills that are highly transferable across digital and Microsoft 365-focused roles.

About You

As a Microsoft 365 (SharePoint) Developer, you will have:

  • Hands on experience working with Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint Online.
  • Confidence developing and supporting intranet sites and internal solutions.
  • Good understanding of the basics of front-end web development, user experience and accessibility and be comfortable working with colleagues from across the organisation to turn requirements into practical solutions.
  • Great organisational skills, proactive and able to manage own workload, with strong communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in using digital tools to improve how people work.
