Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.Return merchandise to shelves and gather/return shopping carts.Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including spills and trash.Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts appropriately.Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualifications
