Overview

Five Below is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to join our team in Oro Valley, AZ. This role supports store operations, delivers a WOW customer experience, and helps drive sales during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns by using product knowledge to offer alternatives and, when possible, turn returns into exchanges.
• Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals by collaborating with colleagues to achieve store objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate cash register and handle transactions
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 5-10 feet high
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve or stock merchandise
• Assume positions that require bending, kneeling, twisting, and stooping in stock rooms and on the sales floor
• Communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and by telephone, exchanging accurate information
• Move across the sales floor to assist customers and retrieve/store merchandise
• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts
• Identify and follow instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Remain standing for extended periods as required
