The Role

As a Commercial Portfolio Lead, you will become an integral member of a dynamic Commercial function, providing commercial leadership and oversight in relation to areas of the Maritime & Land Business that transcend the business units.

Day-to-day, you will oversee multi-disciplined Integrated Delivery Teams as required in accordance with the established business strategy and shall design and implement local commercial strategy. This commercial strategy should include reference to people, processes, and tools, for each line of business in the portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement a commercial engagement strategy for the portfolio which interacts with the portfolio and business strategy (on a 3-5 year planning horizon)
  • You will lead on key / strategic relationships inside and outside the business
  • Accountable for commercial governance on proposals and contracts which may be non-standard, of medium to high complexity
  • A leader in negotiation strategy and planning, capable of influencing up to executive committee level
Essential experience of the Commercial Portfolio Lead
  • A minimum of 5 years practical experience in a Commercial management/leadership role
  • Ideally from the Defence, Aerospace or Marine industries
Essential qualifications for the Commercial Portfolio Lead
  • Degree educated
  • WCC Member status or higher OR MCIPS qualified

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough facility with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
