Associate Noise and Vibration Engineer

Experteer Overview As an Associate Noise & Vibration Engineer, you help safeguard personnel by analyzing how noise and vibration affect performance and safety. You will work within the Human Performance Noise & Vibration Team on lab and field trials, collecting data and producing actionable reports for defence projects. You will engage with cross-functional engineers to evaluate hearing protection, communication systems, and vibration mitigation.

• Plan and execute noise and vibration trials in lab and field settings
• Collect, process and analyse acoustic and vibration data with specialist equipment and software
• Assess the impact of noise and vibration on human performance, comfort, fatigue and communication
• Calibrate and maintain acoustic and vibration measurement equipment
• Contribute to technical reports, presentations and customer deliverables
• Support evaluation of hearing protection, communication equipment and vibration mitigation technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex technical data

• Understanding of engineering, physics, acoustics or vibration principles from study or project work
• Experience with laboratory testing, experimental work or engineering research projects
• Willingness to support field trials and undertake UK travel
