  • Support billing and payment processes:
Work closely with the billing team to ensure sales invoices are accurate and distributed on time. Liaise with clients to ensure purchase order (PO) requirements are followed, and accurately record and allocate customer payments, including bank transfers, cheques and credit card transactions, in line with finance policies and procedures.

Forecast incoming customer payments and upcoming cash requirements, proactively identifying potential collection issues and implementing appropriate solutions. Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports to keep the business informed of collections progress and support effective cash management.
  • Build strong customer relationships:
Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers, providing commercial input and regularly reviewing customer accounts and ledgers to improve efficiency and strengthen working relationships. Maintain the internal ticketing system, ensuring queries are managed and resolved promptly.
  • Support finance operations and improvements:
Complete all month‑end activities accurately and within agreed timelines and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes, support colleagues with ad hoc responsibilities and provide team cover when required.
What We're Looking For

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence working with financial information, spreadsheets and finance systems, with an ability to support cash forecasting, reporting and account reconciliation.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem‑solving, with a willingness to improve processes, take ownership of responsibilities and support colleagues across the business.
