Job DescriptionAbout the Clients
Client 1:
- PEG‑fed, with district nurses currently managing morning and evening feeds.
- Care Professional will assist with
flushing the PEG twice daily
(training provided). - Registered blind.
- May need
occasional night‑time assistance
to reach the bathroom safely. - Becoming increasingly mobile following a stroke.
- Manages most personal care independently.
Client 2:
- Living with advanced dementia.
- A wanderer who enjoys being physically active, regularly going out on the bus or walking.
- Requires
covert medication administration
. - Can be disinhibited and direct in communication, so the Care Professional must be
emotionally robust
, composed, and confident with boundary‑setting. - Often does not recognise her need for support and may present as resistant or verbally sharp.
Start Date is End of February 2026
Duration is an Ongoing Rota (to be discussed)
QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, steady manner.
- Ability to provide
firm yet compassionate guidance
. - Confidence supporting dementia and PEG care (training will be given where needed).
- Adaptability, organisational skills, and the ability to manage unpredictable routines.
- Someone who can encourage mobility, structure, and meaningful daytime activity.
This role suits a Care Professional who is resilient, relationship‑focused, and able to blend empathy with calm, consistent leadership.
