Waterjet Operator
Place of Work:
Orrvilon Manufacturing Division in Orrville, OH
Set up and operate all waterjets in the Fabrication Department to produce precision parts. Apply knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Work to tolerances and finishes required. Clean and lubricate machines and equipment as needed. Record time and production on proper forms. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using instruments such as tape measures and calipers. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for machinery work. Work from drawings, work orders, and instructions covering production parts or tooling requirements. Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as bench grinders, drills, and auto-engraving tools. Self-check completed work through several checks on parts to ensure a quality product. Position and fasten work pieces. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive lifting required, may be in awkward positions and confined spaces. Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, crouch, and use ladders.

Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing environment, proven track record with successful work history, average computer skills, experience reading drawings and interpreting blueprints, experience with 2D & 3D CAD software, strong attention to detail, ability to load programs, operate machine, and ensure the program is correct prior to starting an operation, ability to problem solve and work on multiple projects simultaneously, experience using hand tools such as tape measure and calipers, troubleshooting skills, deburring, cleaning, and marking parts with appropriate information.
High School diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of waterjet experience required.
