Join our team as an on‑call Licensed Practical Nurse 2 and make a meaningful impact serving our residents!
OverviewAs a Licensed Practical Nurse 2, you'll provide direct resident care to vulnerable Veterans in need of skilled nursing care. This includes monitoring and recording all aspects of care, passing medications, dressing changes and treatment, etc.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments for a wing of residents or monitor self‑administered medications of residents.
- Process physician orders and assist with routine rehabilitative and maintenance care.
- Prepare, carry out, evaluate, record, and revise treatment and interdisciplinary care plans for individual residents based on personal observations and recommendations of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other nurses.
- Facilitate care as directed by Nursing Care and Regulations of Health Professions and Facility Policies and Procedures.
- Accurately obtain and record vital signs and other resident data; document intake and output records.
- Perform duties as charge nurse in the absence of the RN2.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Current Washington state Licensed Nurse license or unencumbered licensed nurse multistate license.
- Proficient in English.
- Long‑term care experience.
- Pass a DSHS BCCU Background Check before starting and every two years.
- Comply with annual Tuberculin Screening.
- Meet respiratory protection standards per Washington Industrial Safety Act.
- Lift up to 60 lbs and reach 36 with proper technique.
- Maintain reliable attendance, call‑in/call‑out procedures, and willingness to work as needed.
- Familiar with all DVA policies, procedures, CBA, and confidentiality statement.
- Valid LPN license.
- Travel positions require valid unrestricted driver’s license.
- Hold U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship.
