Process Engineer – Actalent – Contract to Hire

The Process Engineer will assess and improve existing processes, focusing on optimizing productivity and workflow. This role involves researching, designing, and developing new processes, overseeing their implementation and maintenance, and troubleshooting any operational issues. The Process Engineer will ensure compliance with company procedures and policies and maintain accurate process records.

• Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to optimize productivity and workflow.
• Research, design, and develop new processes.
• Oversee operations and maintenance of facility processes.
• Analyze the organization and setup of operations, making recommendations for enhancements.
• Oversee the implementation of new processes and procedures.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues with processes, procedures, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies, discussing any illogical policies with the Plant Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of process issues, resolutions, and impacts on production.
• Evaluate parts and equipment requiring routine maintenance for abnormal wear or damage.
• Ensure employee adherence to safety policies and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Review and revise the PPE matrix as necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial, automotive, food & beverage, or chemical environment.
• Proficient in process engineering and process optimization.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Experience in developing and updating SOPs and training programs.
• Mentorship and coaching experience.
• Experience working with customers.
• Familiarity with PSM and environmental regulations.
• Proficient with process data tools like PI.
• Project experience in managing capital projects such as rebuilds and retrofits.
• Knowledge of heat/mass transfer, combustion, and scrubbing is a plus.

The work environment involves exposure to noise, dust, heat, steam, and hazardous materials, requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a rubberized suit and respiratory apparatus when necessary. Contract to Hire position based out of Osceola, AR.

Pay range: $45.00 – $60.00 per hour.
