Intern Project Coordinator

Reporting to the Project Manager/Estimator, the Co‑op Student will assist with day‑to‑day project coordination tasks and gain exposure to real‑world projects while developing practical skills.
Key Responsibilities With guidance and mentorship, the Co‑op Student will:
Support project managers with coordination and administrative tasks
Assist with project schedules, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes
Organize and maintain project documentation and files
Track project progress, deliverables, and action items
Support preparation of client‑ready documents and correspondence, under supervision
Assist with tracking project changes, change notices, and supporting documentation
Exposure to basic project compliance and reporting requirements through guided support tasks
Support estimating activities by organizing quotations and project data
Participate in project meetings as a learning opportunity
Assist with purchase order setup and general project administration
Help prepare internal progress summaries and reports
Shadow team members to learn about project planning, execution, and project close‑out documentation
Occasionally attend site visits or client meetings under supervision
Support process improvements by leveraging AI and automation technologies
What You'll Gain Hands‑on experience supporting construction and engineering projects
An understanding of the project lifecycle and coordination processes
Exposure to scheduling, cost tracking, reporting, and estimating
Experience professional communication and teamwork experience
Education Requirements Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related), Construction or Project Management, or a related field. Open to co‑op or internship students.
Experience & Skills Previous skilled trade or construction related experience is an asset
Interest in learning about Indigenous relations and community engagement/participation is an asset
Strong organizational and communication skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera) is an asset or willingness to learn
Exposure to AI or automation technologies in supporting workflow or process improvements is an asset
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
Ability to obtain a Nuclear Security Clearance

Compensation:
Paid co‑op position, $20-$25/hr based on education and experience
Future Opportunities:
