What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the construction of Canada’s first Small Modular Reactor on the SMR‑X Project. Beginning in 2023, Aecon will support the validation phase, design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the construction of Unit 1 at the Darlington site.

The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting the security clearance process for all employees assigned to the SMR‑X Project and for the day‑to‑day preparation and handling of training materials and records.

What You’ll Do Here

Daily preparation of training packages and attendance records for trainers; work with trainers to plan training schedules and set up courses.

Manage resources including facilities, equipment and instructor availability; set up training events in LMS.

Receive completed training records and record learning credits in LMS.

Handle collection of completed training records, ensuring proper scanning and storage per procedures. Maintain an accurate list of training folders on the Shared Drive and ensure all training documentation is the most current revision and is uploaded and stored electronically.

Ensure training materials, documents and completion records are stored securely and retrievable from the shared project folder.

Use the project LMS to validate qualification status and provide supporting reports. Work with the Training Manager, Training Coordinators and trainers to understand training demand.

What You Bring To The Table

Work experience or post‑secondary learning in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business Management or a related program.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel as an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated strong organizational and time‑management skills; detail oriented with the ability to multitask on a regular basis and a strong customer service orientation.

Ability to prioritize and coordinate with the associated department.

Competent computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Clear and concise communication with all levels of the organization.

Pay Range: $65 – 70K.
