Role Description
The Administrative Assistant is a part-time, on-site role based in Guelph, ON. This role supports day-to-day operations by managing correspondence, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining electronic and physical files, preparing and formatting documents, reports, and presentations, and supporting data entry and basic record-keeping. The Administrative Assistant will assist with clerical tasks such as ordering supplies and coordinating logistics for meetings or training sessions.
The role involves close collaboration with project teams and leadership to ensure smooth administrative support and efficient office workflows. Hours for this position range from 10 to 20 hours per week, with a starting wage of $23 to $28 hourly, depending on experience.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills for organizing documents, managing records, and supporting daily office operations.
Candidates should possess solid Communication and Phone Etiquette skills for handling inquiries, routing calls, and interacting professionally with clients and team members.
Candidates should possess Executive Administrative Assistance capabilities for calendar management, meeting coordination, and preparation of professional documents.
Candidates should be proficient with productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace), including word processing, spreadsheets, and email management.
Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in Guelph, ON and collaborating with technical and project-focused teams; prior experience in professional services or engineering environments is an asset.
Candidates should ideally have post-secondary education in business administration or a related field.
