Position: Mechanical Superintendent for Nuclear Project
Location: Bowmanville

Lead mechanical operations at Aecon on the Darlington New Nuclear Project in Clarington, Ontario. This role demands strong supervisory skills, safety management, and experience in nuclear construction.

Aecon is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to oversee the execution phase of Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor construction. Reporting to the General Superintendent – Mechanical, you will manage work planning, resources, and project alignment with partners. Focus on safety, quality assurance, and productivity while ensuring adherence to project specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute construction methods and schedules

• Monitor project schedules and identify potential risks

• Enforce safety and quality programs throughout the project

• Oversee productivity of trade labour and subcontractors

• Conduct site safety inspections and field tours

Requirements:

• 7+ years of mechanical construction experience

• Knowledge of nuclear safety culture and QA programs

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

• Experience managing complex nuclear projects

• Strong communication and coordination skills
