As a dedicated Construction Safety Trainer at Aecon, you will report to the Training Manager and oversee training initiatives for essential safety programs. Your expertise will support project teams in meeting legislative requirements and enhancing worker competency through effective training delivery. Focus on promoting a strong safety culture while leading innovative training solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Train employees on key safety programs such as Work at Heights
• Maintain documentation tracking for training feedback
• Participate in meetings for training course development
• Support environmental management plans and safety inspections
• Act as a technical resource for Occupational Health & Safety Acts
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Health and Safety
• 5+ years experience training in the construction sector
• Knowledge of Provincial OHS Legislation
• Familiarity with adult learning principles
• Team-oriented with strong leadership skills
