Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for managing and developing relationships within an assigned customer base. This role responds to inbound inquiries, conducts targeted outbound outreach, processes orders, resolves customer issues, and provides product and solution guidance aligned to customer needs. The ISR plays a key role in driving revenue, supporting customer retention, and delivering a consistent, high‑quality customer experience through accurate execution and effective communication.
Estimated to make 15‑30 outbound calls per day to assigned/designated customers to develop new business and gain share of potential and wallet share/contribution.
Processes customer requests for pricing, information, and availability regarding products.
Processes customer orders for products both in‑stock and special order.
Identifies, researches, and resolves customer issues using the computer system.
Responsible for following up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved.
Provides customers with product and service information and promotes up‑selling products and services.
Responsible for completing call logs and reports.
Researches billing issues.
Raises awareness and communicates with management of trends in customer calls.
Coaches customers on how to use computer systems to resolve problems.
Maintains proficiency with company computer systems for job‑related duties such as data entry, messaging, call logs, data notation, queue updates, batching, or other job & office functions and requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2 years prior call center experience in a related field, with similar computer requirements
Knowledge of MS Office applications as needed to satisfactorily perform work assignments – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint – and the ability to learn company enterprise systems as needed.
Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged sitting (up to 8 hours), with intermittent standing and walking throughout the shift
Continuous use of fingers, hands, and arms for computer and office‑related tasks
