Position: Long-Term Occasional Teacher at DDSB

Shape the future of education as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher with Durham District School Board. This role focuses on creating engaging lessons and fostering inclusive learning environments for students in grades 9 to 12.

As an LTO at DDSB, you will provide a rich educational experience for secondary students. Your expertise in Special Education and General Science will enhance student learning while you assess progress and offer constructive feedback. Collaborating with parents and the community will be integral to your teaching approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver curriculum-aligned engaging lessons

• Assess and monitor student progress with actionable feedback

• Create an inclusive classroom environment for all students

• Collaborate with colleagues and the community to enhance learning

• Adapt teaching methods for diverse student needs

Requirements:

• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing

•

Required qualifications:

Special Education, General Science

• Available for Semester One, full-time (FTE 1.0)

• Provide a current Criminal Background Check

• Ability to engage students from grades 9-12
