Key Responsibilities
Build a welcoming, inclusive classroom that prioritizes relationships, student voice, and well-being
Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons grounded in UDL and culturally responsive, evidence-based practices
Implement targeted supports and differentiated instruction in Literacy and Mathematics
Use assessment for, as, and of learning to monitor progress and guide next steps
Communicate regularly with families to strengthen learning and well-being partnerships
Implement accommodations and modifications that support the success of students with special education needs.
Engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional learning
Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to enhance student engagement and success
Identify and dismantle barriers to equity, ensuring all students’ identities, humanity, and potential are affirmed
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications And Additional Information
Ontario Teachers Certificate
Special Education, an asset

Elementary Permanent Salary Range: $53,352 to $119,967/year (Placement on salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience. Salary will be pro-rated based on the position FTE).
Additional Requirements
Provide a current Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
