Location: Whitby
Make an impact in education as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) with the Durham District School Board (DDSB). Engage students in grades 9-12 through dynamic lesson delivery and collaborative learning environments.
As an LTO at DDSB, you will teach Mathematics along with another subject, fostering a positive atmosphere where all students feel valued. You’ll assess and monitor student progress while adapting your teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs. Your passion for education will shine through as you create engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging lessons in accordance with curriculum
• Assess and provide feedback on student progress
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to enhance learning
• Adapt materials to meet diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Required subject qualifications: 0.5 LTO SEM 1 I/S Math
• Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening
• Secondary teaching experience preferred
• 0.5 FTE assignment for grades 9-12
