Enhance student learning as a full-time Grade 7/8 Teacher with the Durham District School Board. Focus on developing engaging lessons and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
This permanent position requires intermediate subject qualifications with rotary experience. You will be responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods. Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the community is essential to support diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver engaging curriculum-aligned lessons
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and community resources
• Adapt teaching materials to cater to diverse learners
Requirements:
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Required intermediate subject qualifications with rotary
• Special Education and MLL qualifications are an asset
• Must submit a current Criminal Background Check
• Commitment to equity and inclusiveness in education
