Location: Whitby
Become an integral part of the Durham District School Board as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher for Grade
3. Create engaging lessons and foster a supportive learning environment for every student.
This position requires a passion for teaching, with a focus on developing inclusive classrooms that value every learner. You'll be responsible for delivering lessons aligned with the curriculum and monitoring student progress effectively. Collaboration with parents, colleagues, and the wider community is key to enhancing student experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging lessons aligned with curriculum objectives
• Assess and monitor student progress with constructive feedback
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate with families and colleagues to enhance learning
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Qualifications for teaching Grade 3 and Primary subjects
• Must provide a current Criminal Background Check
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
• Availability to fulfill a full-time assignment
