Join DCDSB as a 1.0 FTE LTO Teacher in Grades 6/7 eph Uxbridge CS starting September 2, 2026. This role runs through June 30, 2027, with potential adjustments.
Candidates must hold valid certification from the Ontario College of Teachers along with Junior/Intermediate Basic Qualifications. This teaching position aims to fill a temporary gap, ensuring students receive quality education during the vacancy. Compensation is contingent on placement within the salary grid, influenced by previous teaching experience and QECO evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver effective lessons for Grades 6 and 7
• Create an inclusive atmosphere for diverse student populations
• Monitor student progress through evaluations and reports
• Engage in teamwork with fellow educators and staff
• Attend training sessions and contribute to school programs
Requirements:
• Valid certification from Ontario College of Teachers
• Junior/Intermediate Basic Qualifications required
• Experience teaching upper elementary grades
• Commitment to fostering an equitable classroom
• Flexible in adapting to diverse student learning needs
