French LTO - English subjects to Gr 7​/FI and Jr FI Coverage

As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) for the Durham District School Board, you will create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.

  English subjects to Gr 7/8 FI and Junior FI Coverage
• Required subject qualifications:
  French, Junior, Intermediate
• FTE: 0.8
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• FSL qualifications and successful completion of the Boards written French competency test are required.
• Elementary LTO Salary Range: $53,352 to $119,967 per year (placement on salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience. Salary will be pro-rated based on the position FTE).

• External hires can take up to 10 working days to be processed which could affect the start date for this position.
• A Long Term Occasional Teacher may not rescind a Long Term Assignment for the purpose of apply for and accepting a different Long Term Assignment. An OT who is in a Long Term Assignment may accept more than one Long Term Assignment so long as the acceptance of one does not require the rescinding of another. Nothing in this provision precludes a Long Term Occasional Teacher from rescinding a Long Term Assignment for the purposes of applying for and accepting a permanent position.
