Long-Term French Immersion Teacher

Become a Long-Term Occasional Teacher for French Immersion at the Durham District School Board, nurturing Grade 2 learners in a supportive and inclusive classroom. Engage students with creative lesson plans and foster growth through assessment.

In this role, you will develop and deliver lessons that align with Ontario's curriculum standards. You will assess and monitor student progress while creating a positive atmosphere where every Learner feels included. Collaboration with colleagues and parents is vital in enhancing student engagement and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging French lessons for Grade 2

• Assess and monitor student progress effectively

• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

• Collaborate with staff, parents, and community members

• Adapt teaching methods for diverse learner needs

Requirements:

• OCT in good standing required

• FSL Part 1 qualification mandatory

• Hold current French competency tests

• Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening
