Location: Whitby
Join Durham District School Board as an Intermediate/Senior Teacher, guiding students in Math, Science, and Health & Physical Education from grades 9 to 12. Your passion for education ignites student curiosity.
In this permanent role, you’ll create a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere. You are responsible for assessing student progress and providing feedback that ensures academic growth. A collaborative approach with fellow educators and the community will enhance your effectiveness as a teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lessons that engage and motivate students
• Monitor and assess student learning and progress
• Create a welcoming classroom for all students
• Collaborate with colleagues and community partners
• Customize teaching methods to diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Must possess an Ontario teaching certificate (OCT)
• Required qualifications in Intermediate/Senior Math & Science
• Teaching background in Health and Physical Education
• Experience in fostering an inclusive environment
• Must submit a current Criminal Background Check
