Location: Port Perry
Make a difference as a Secondary Long-Term Occasional Teacher with the Durham District School Board. This 1.0 FTE role focuses on teaching French and Social Sciences while nurturing an inclusive atmosphere.
As a member of DDSB, your role will center on inspiring secondary students in grades 9 to 12 through effective teaching practices in subjects including Geography and History. Create varied lesson plans, track student development, and cultivate a classroom that respects and embraces diversity. Your collaboration with colleagues and families will be key to enhancing student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback
• Foster an inclusive environment where all feel valued
• Collaborate with colleagues and community to enhance learning
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Qualifications in Intermediate/Senior French, Geography, and others
• Must provide a Criminal Background Check for hire
• Experience teaching high school curriculum
• Dedication to equity and diversity in the classroom
