Location: Whitby
Become a vital part of the Durham District School Board as a Grade 7 Long-Term Occasional Teacher. You'll create an engaging classroom for students while guiding them in their learning journey.
In this role, you will develop and deliver lessons that excite students and align with the curriculum. Your responsibilities include assessing student progress, fostering an inclusive environment, and collaborating with educators and parents for enhanced learning experiences. Adaptability is key to meet the diverse needs of all students in your class.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging lessons that align with the curriculum
• Assess and monitor student progress and growth
• Create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents for student enhancement
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Required qualifications for Junior/Intermediate grades
• Experience teaching Grade 7 Homeroom
• Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening
• Available for a 1.0 FTE commitment
