Position: 1.0 FTE Long-Term Occasional Teacher
Location: Whitby

Embrace a teaching challenge with St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic School as a 1.0 FTE Grade 5/6 Long-Term Occasional Teacher from September 2, 2026, to June 30, 2026.

This full-time role is designed for educators with Junior Basic Qualifications and a commitment to fostering inclusive classrooms. Successful candidates will be certified by the Ontario College of Teachers and placed based on experience and evaluation. As part of DCDSB's inclusive community, you will contribute to enriching student experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver lessons for Grades 5 and 6

• Assess and support diverse student learning needs

• Maintain a positive classroom environment

• Work closely with colleagues in curriculum planning

• Promote the importance of equity in education

Requirements:

• Valid certification from Ontario College of Teachers

• Required Junior Basic Qualifications

• Prior experience with Grade 5 or 6 teaching

• Skills in inclusive education practices

• Personal commitment to diversity and representation
