Location: Whitby
Step into a rewarding teaching experience as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher with the Durham District School Board, focusing on Grade
7. Create an inspiring environment that nurtures students’ academic success and love for learning.
As an LTO Teacher, you’ll be responsible for crafting lessons that not only meet curriculum standards but also ignite student interest. Monitor student development while ensuring an inclusive classroom for every individual. Collaborate with fellow educators and engage with the community to bolster learning outcomes for your students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Craft and present engaging curriculum-aligned lessons
• Track and support student progress and development
• Establish a positive classroom culture that values every student
• Work with colleagues and parents to improve student learning
• Modify teaching practices to address unique student needs
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario teaching certification (OCT)
• Qualifications in Junior and Intermediate subjects
• Proven experience in Grade 7 Homeroom teaching
• Background Check with vulnerable sector screening upon hire
• Willing and available for a 1.0 FTE commitment
