Drive career development as the Coordinator for Work Experience Programs at the University of Guelph. Foster student growth through strategic employer partnerships and substantive work experiences.
Reporting to the Manager of Co-operative Education, your primary focus will be developing employment opportunities and marketing the WEX program. You will provide crucial advisement to students seeking paid work experiences, ensuring they are prepared and supported during their terms.
Your role will greatly influence students’ employability skills and real-world understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and secure new employment opportunities for WEX students
• Market the WEX program effectively to employers
• Provide guidance on job search and employability skills
• Conduct preparatory workshops for students
• Evaluate student performance during work terms
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field needed
• Two years of experience in employer relations required
• Proven communication and marketing skills essential
• Understanding of workplace diversity practices advantageous
• Familiarity with labor market trends needed
Contribute to meaningful student experiences at the University of Guelph by coordinating impactful work placements.
