Seasonal Program Instructor in Clarington

Location: Clarington

Become a Program Instructor with the Municipality of Clarington, starting in September 2026. Lead recreational activities, ensure participant safety, and adapt programs to meet diverse needs.

The Community Services Division is recruiting enthusiastic individuals for the Program Instructor 1 role. You'll supervise registered and drop-in activities, assist participants, and provide customer service. Your experience with children and leadership will be valuable in this position while fostering community spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and supervise recreational activities for participants

• Adapt programs to ensure inclusivity and fun

• Assist participants, including administering first aid

• Communicate effectively with co-workers and families

• Maintain safety by assessing and reporting hazards

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 16 with leadership experience

• Experience working with children is helpful

• Excellent customer service skills

• Standard First Aid and CPR “C” certification required

• High 5 Principles of Healthy Child Development certification is a plus
